Among the many charming residential areas that surround the municipal area of ​​Marbella we have, practically on the border with Estepona, the urbanization of Guadalmina.

This quiet and pleasant area is divided into two areas delimited by the A7 motorway. To the north of it is Guadalmina Alta where the famous Guadalmina Shopping Center is located, which offers a wide variety of services: Restaurants, cafes, supermarket, medical centers, banks. Here we also find the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina one of the great golf clubs on the Costa del Sol, which practically reaches the beach.

To the south of the highway is the Guadalmina Baja area, with its large mansions built on huge plots and with one of the best beaches on the coast. The Guadalmina beach has got the blue flag again this year, it is usual that it gets it year after year thanks to its equipment and services, but above all for the quality of its waters. In its surroundings, the Roman ruins of the 3rd century AD stand out, popularly known as Las Bóvedas. Next to the Roman baths we can see a watchtower of a defensive character from the 16th century. Both historical remains have the declaration of Well of Cultural Interest.
